WaterWorld Safari was one of three water parks owned by the same company that operated Big Surf in Tempe and Golfland Sunsplash in Mesa. When their 25-year lease was up in 2008, Maricopa County did not renew it. The lease was granted to another company, Village Roadshow, which built a new waterpark on the property, Wet 'n' Wild.
Enjoy these photos of WaterWorld Safari that I took in 2006.
