Ten Mediterranean Restaurants in the Phoenix Area

By Judy Hedding, About.com

There are several places in the Phoenix area where you can satisfy your urge to enjoy Greek or Middle Eastern Cuisine. Many of the Greek restaurants in town have been around for many years, and all the places here are independents, as opposed to chains, although there's one that has several locations in Phoenix only.

There's nothing like a good tzatziki to start off a meal, accompanied by an appetizer of dolmathes or spanikopita, a nice Greek salad, and the an entree of moussaka. Don't forget the baklava for dessert! By the way, if you are a vegetarian, you'll find many options for enjoyable dining at Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants in Phoenix.

Note that several of these restaurants have musical entertainment, and some even have belly dancing on certain nights. I'd check first, however, before you go breaking any plates.
