In 2009 the date for Easter is April 12. If you are looking for a restaurant in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area where you can enjoy a luxurious Easter Brunch, these restaurants are serving Easter Brunch and/or dinner. Reservations should be made at all these Easter dining establishments.

The Ritz-Carlton

Easter Brunch will be served in The Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entertainment by a live jazz trio. Menu highlights include seasonal fresh fruits, artisan cheeses, chilled smoked and roasted salmon and seafoods, fresh salads and baked goods, live omelet station, freshly-carved prime rib au jus and honey-roasted smoked ham, eggs Benedict, delectable breakfast and lunch entrees such as seared halibut and honey-roasted chicken, and a decadent choice of dessert pastries, cakes, mousse and an ice cream and toppings bar. $64 per adult, $32 per child aged 2-12, plus tax and gratuity. Children in attendance will have access to the hotel’s annual Easter egg hunt and holiday petting zoo.

Blue Sage at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

Blue Sage restaurant offers an Easter grand buffet featuring smoked salmon, sturgeon, trout and mackerel; Greek, pasta, caesar and nicoise salads; omelet and pasta stations; and jalapeño chicken and pork sausage with basmati rice pilaf and spring vegetables from the resort's on-site organic garden. The Blue Sage Easter buffet is $65 per adult and $28 for children under 12 years old. The grand buffet will be served from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Meritage Steakhouse at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

Savor prime aged steaks and perfected classics at Meritage Steakhouse, which will be serving Easter dinner starting with a choice of soups and buffalo mozzarella, baby arugula salad or romaine parmigano. Hot dinner favorites will include a selection of filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, dry-aged New York sirloin with a green peppercorn topping or seared steelhead salmon. Family-style side dishes feature sautéed exotic mushrooms, roasted garlic mashed potato and glazed asparagus. Desserts include a duo of vahlrona dark chocolate-caramel tart and strawberry almond torte with malted milk chocolate cream. The Meritage Steakhouse Easter dinner is $65 per person and will be served from 3 to 9 p.m.

Lon's at The Hermosa - Brunch

Easter brunch at Lon's at The Hermosa is served from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and features choices of apple wood smoked salmon, berry and cheese blintz, warm goat cheese salad and Dungeness crab cake as starters. Main course selections include roasted chicken and vegetable quiche, steak and eggs, pecan wood-grilled lamb and a duet of grilled beef tenderloin and gulf prawns. Dessert selections include An Easter basket of field-picked berries with a grand marnier gateau and double chocolate pot au crème. A special children's brunch menu is offered.

Lon's at The Hermosa - Dinner

Easter dinner at Lon's takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will include roasted pork posole soup, baby romaine salad with corn relish, roasted pork tenderloin, pan-roasted Alaskan halibut and pecan wood-grilled lamb. Desserts will include banana and walnut empanada and double chocolate pot au crème. $65 per person and $15 for children ages 5 to 12.

Ko'Sin at Sheraton Wild Horse Pass

Enjoy a selection of grilled vegetables, smoked seafood platters, veal shank with natural sustainable juices, exotic fruits and imported cheeses, along with the iced raw bar, pan seared native wild salmon with locally grown tomatoes, a carving station, gourmet omelet station, TOCA squash cobbler, tempting sweets and much more. Ko'Sin's traditional Easter Champagne Brunch will be prepared under the direction of the Resort's Michelin-trained Executive Chef, Michael O'Dowd, and will include complimentary champagne. Top of the Rock at The Buttes

Easter Champagne Brunch at the Wigwam in the West Valley is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Includes Tropical Fruit Station, Chilled Seafood Platters, Farmers Corner, Specialty Salads, Omelet Station, Waffle Station, Carving Station, Asian Wok Station, Entrées such as Seared Sea Scallops & Halibut with Pineapple Chile Salsa, Seared Medallions of Pork Loin, and Smoked Beef Tenderloin, Pasta Station and desserts. From 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. children s activities including a Petting Zoo, Pictures with the Easter Bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt. More children's activities are scheduled in the afternoon. Sassi

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. guests will enjoy an elegant five-course brunch, buffet style, in various locations inside and outside the restaurant. The feast begins salad and Sassi's antipasti. Breakfast includes smoked salmon, French toast with rum cream and candied walnuts and frittata stagione. Entrees feature herb-marinated chicken breast with rosemary polenta and wild mushrooms, wood oven-roasted porchetta and roasted leg of lamb with garlic roasted potatoes. Homemade desserts conclude the meal. A children's food station will be available. Entertainment will be provided by of Mosaico from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $50 per person and $25 for children 12 and younger.

A Mediterranean take on a classic holiday brunch on Easter Sunday, April 12. Chef Claudio Urciuoli will serve up Cava cocktails, MJ Breads, Fresh Fruit, Yogurt and Granola, Eggs, Jamones, Prawns, Grass-Fed New York Steak, a carving station with Wood-Fired Roast Leg of Lamb and seafood Paella, among many other menu items. Ingredients will reflect what is fresh, seasonal and local when possible. The sweets table will offer petit fours, tortes, cakes and gelato, among other house-made sweets.
