Lorena Ochoa, from Mexico, had an excellent shot out of this deep bunker. She made par with that great up and down. (2004)
Lorena Ochoa never finished a college event more than three shots out of the lead, and had 12 wins in her two collegiate years at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Lorena was awarded NCAA Player of the Year honors in both 2001 and 2002. She subsequently turned pro, and, in 2003, Lorena Ochoa was recognized with the 2003 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year.
