He began blogging about local Arizona real estate issues in 2006. ArizonaRealEstateNotebook.com, shows detailed graphs of the real estate market in 124 Maricopa County, Arizona zip codes, as well has news, analysis and opinion about the Arizona real estate market. John also authored a guide for foreigners about buying real estate in Arizona. John has frequently been quoted in the Tribune Newspapers as an expert on the Arizona real estate market, and has been quoted in The Arizona Republic, The Arizona Daily Star, The Washington Post, The International Herald Tribune, FOXNews.com, ABC News website, and MSNBC.com. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, John Wake graduated from Arizona State University and went on to receive a Masters degree in agricultural economics from the University of Florida. John worked as an economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C. and as an Agricultural Attache at the American Embassy in Paris before returning to Arizona in the early 1990's.
