Halloween costume parties can be great fun for both children and adults. Here are some restaurants, hotels and bars that have let me know that they are having a special Halloween event.
Iguana Mack’s Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Party

Kids can join the FUN Team for frightfully FUN games and activities including a pass the pumpkin, mummy relay races, spooky s’mores, trick-or-treating, Mad Scientist, Teen Fear Factor, Kids Monster Bashand a Halloween Costume Parade! Families can enjoy Kierland “Klue” a family FUN game to figure out just how the Halloween crime took place, or take part of the Resort’s annual pumpkin decorating contest and see them on display in the Kierland Mining Co. Howl-ween Costume Contest
W Scottsdale Hotel
A free event, W Scottsdale will roll out its signature purple carpet and step & repeat for its favorite four-legged friends it hosts its first Howl-ween Costume Contest. In partnership with Lost Our Home Pet Foundation and Oh, My Dog Boutique, pups are invited to strut their stuff for a wealth of prizes that include a two-night stay at W Scottsdale, dog accessories, a Sushi Roku gift certificate and much more. A signature Boo-berry martini will be available with all proceeds from the sale of the cocktail going to benefit Lost Our Home, which will have several pups available for adoption. Pumpkins at the Peak
Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak, 7677 North 16th Street, Phoenix
Calling all ghouls, goblins, clowns, witches and other characters together for an evening of Halloween fun. Pumpkins at the Peak transforms the 4-acre River Ranch into a Halloween haunt with art booth, games, music, tick-or-treat stations and of course water park fun. Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak and the Phoenix Fire Department collaborate for this annual event, and donate all event processed to St. Mary’s Food Bank to help feed the hungry this holiday season. The event is open to both the community and resort guests. Admission is $5 per person, or 2 can of food per person. A special buffet will also be offered at Hole-in-the-Wall, $16 adults, $9 children, from 4 to 8 p.m. Arizona residents can also enjoy a Halloween weekend stay at both Pointe Hilton Resorts – Tapatio Cliffs and Squaw Peak - for only $99!
