The following hotel and motels are near Sky Harbor Airport, but this is not a resort area. This is an older part of Phoenix that doesn't have a great reputation--stick to the chains. The cheaper hotels, and the ones on Van Buren Street in particular, may be acceptable if you are on a tight budget, or there's a shortage of rooms in town due to a big event. This is not an area where I'd go for a stroll at night, or maybe even a jog in the morning....
There are more hotels in downtown Phoenix, and that's pretty close, but these are the hotels that are in the immediate airport area.
