Each year, at the end of June, one very talented and bright young lady is chosen to be Miss Arizona for the year. Along with that honor and the responsibilities of the position, comes the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss America that following September.
The Miss Arizona Pageant is much more than a beauty contest. It is a way for many Arizona women to obtain scholarship monies to further their educations. It is also important in that it helps develop awareness for many worthy causes that the organization, and the young ladies themselves, support.
Not only does the Miss Arizona Pageant provide opportunities for young women, but it is also a fun event to watch! For three days the local winners from all over the state of Arizona strut their stuff, show us their talent, and tell us what they think about the world.
