In 2014 the date for Mother's Day
is May 11. If you are looking for a restaurant in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area where you can celebrate that special woman in your life with a Mother's Day Brunch or Dinner, one of these restaurants will be happy to host you. Reservations are required at all these Mother's Day dining establishments. Some may require prepayment and have a cancellation fee for no-shows. Unless otherwise stated, tax and gratuity are not included in the mentioned prices.

- Resort casual attire will be appropriate at most of these restaurants. If you intend to wear a tee shirt and shorts to a Mother's Day brunch, call first.

Mom can start off with a “Love Your Momma Martini" of Grey Goose pear vodka lemon juice, simple syrup sliced cucumber & fresh mint. In addition to the regular menu a gourmet Mother’s Day menu will be offered, featuring a special appetizer of lobster bisque soup, entee specials of braised Berkshire pork Benedict, pan-roasted halibut and duo of scallops and beef tenderloin. Offering regular menu plus gourmet specials for Mother's Day. Mom can start off with a "Mother’s Blush" Fresh muddled strawberries, white zinfandel, Italian bubbly brut and fresh orange twist. In addition to the regular menu they will serve a gourmet Mother’s Day menu, featuring a special appetizer of Local Heirloom tomato bisque with Maine lobster, and entree specials of House-made quiche of aged fontina, and Seranno ham, Pan-roasted halibut or 8 oz. mesquite wood-grilled filet mignon. Finish with a trio of spring strawberry desserts, house-made from the bakeshop.

Talavera will serve Mother's Day Brunch with “flavors from the sea” including shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell and smoked salmon. Specialty items from the carving station include slow roasted prime rib and poached Alaskan halibut, along with honey glazed ham. An omelet station, cheese and charcuterie selection, and dessert offerings round out the menu. Add a Bellini or Bloody Mary for an additional $10. This restaurant is known for scenic views.
There will be a complimentary Mother's Day carnival from 10 a.m. to noon on the outdoor lawn. Featured activities include a bounce house, hula hoops, ball games and cookie decorating. This event is open to guests of the Resort as well as those attending the brunch in Talavera.

For those who want to treat mom to homestyle comfort food, enjoy a three-course prix fixe
meal. Begin with a chilled soup trio or duck salad followed by a seared scallop for the main course. Finish the meal with peach cobbler just like mom used to make. Regular daily menu also available.

This modern American supper club will open early for brunch serving the restaurant’s dinner menu all day as well as a special brunch menu until 3 p.m. Brunch options include blood orange mimosa, quiche with spinach, swiss, provolone, parmesan, arugula salad and fresh fruit, blueberry French toast with cream cheese, powdered sugar, warm maple syrup and smoked bacon, braised short rib with marble potatoes, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, poached eggs and cabernet jus, crab and eggs with toasted English muffin, jumbo lump crab cakes, poached eggs, hollandaise, fingerling potatoes and fresh fruit and blackened salmon salad with strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, goat cheese, field greens, basil poppyseed dressing and candied walnuts.

Enjoy fresh, seasonal cuisine, handcrafted signature cocktails, live music from a steel drum band and spectacular views of the surrounding desert landscape at El Chorro's charming patio. The brunch menu features a carving station with New York Strip Loin, a choice of entrees including Chicken Roulade with spinach and sun dried tomatoes and Lobster Newburg Crepes served with sherry cream, as well as a variety of salads. A full breakfast station will feature Cheese Blintzes, Traditional Eggs Benedict and Crème Brule French Toast among other choices. A selection of desserts will include Strawberry Shortcake, New York Cheesecake, Lemon and Berry Tarts and Triple Chocolate Cake Cupcakes. As part of the El Chorro tradition, the special holiday menu will include the Famous Sticky Buns, handcrafted bread and butter, coffee and tea.

The buffet-style brunch will include an assortment of baked goods with muffins, croissants, iced cinnamon buns, Remington’s famous pretzel rolls, a chilled buffet including jumbo shrimp and imported cheese, a salad bar with Waldorf Salad and Southwest Caesar Salad and fresh Belgian waffles prepared to order. There will be a carving station with blackened New York strip loin with caramelized shallot bordelaise sauce and creamy horseradish and spinach, cranberry, pecan stuffed pork loin. For egg lovers, prepared to order omelets will be offered with a medley of fresh vegetables, meats, and cheeses. A selection of entrées and accompaniments like Southwestern Eggs Benedict, seared Atlantic salmon with a roasted pineapple chutney relish and grilled breast of chicken with Mediterranean spices and sautéed artichoke hearts, capers, and feta cheese will be offered. The Brunch will also include crisp honey cured bacon, sage sausage links, pesto and parmesan potatoes, herbed white rice with cranberries and almonds and a vegetable assortment. A Chef’s selection of tortes, cakes, and cannolis will be available for dessert. No brunch is complete without coffee, tea, sparkling cider, and champagne for the adults.
