Looking for a nice meal on New Year's Eve in the Phoenix area? Besides concerts, shows and New Year's Eve parties, you'll also find some wonderful New Year's Eve dinners at fine restaurants around town. Many of these are prix-fixe special menus for the New Year's Eve celebration. Some include champagne toasts, party favors, dancing and entertainment. Please remember that the prices mentioned here don't include tax, tip, or drinks. You can assume that coupons and discounts will not be honored for special holiday meals. Many of these restaurants require payment in advance. Call to see if there's a dress code.

New Year's Eve buffet beginning at 5 p.m. includes a glass of house Champagne or wine. Soup, salads, carving station with prime rib, several entrees and desserts. 20% gratuity and tax will be added.
NYE 2013:$125 to $150 per person
A five-course menu followed by complimentary entry to the adjacent Terrace Room lounge for live music by The Hampton’s. First course menu choices include pan seared diver scallops or braised lamb “osso bucco” ravioli, for the second course a choice of crisp apple & micro arugula salad or organic brussels leaf salad, as well as a choice of lobster bisque or potato winter ale soup for the third course. Fourth course choices include apple wood smoked venison tenderloin, citrus sherry poached Maine lobster, horseradish crusted Cedar River filet, or hazelnut dusted Mediterranean turbot. Seatings from 5 to 8 p.m. are available for $125 per person, and seatings from 8:30 to 10 p.m. are available for $150 per person. Wine pairings available for an additional $50 per person. Serving from 5 p.m. to midnight. Start with Caviar Purse; Next: Nantucket Bay Scallop on Warm Black Truffle-Garlic Toast. Main: Slowly Baked Black Cod, Aromatic Black Beans, Sake, Ginger and Truffle Juice or Maine Lobster Baked in Truffle Butter, Lemon Spaetzle, Winter Vegetables. Next: Roasted Elk Striploin, “Poires au Lard” or Grilled Filet Mignon, Truffle Fritters, Pear Horseradish Puree. Last: Trio of Desserts.
NYE 2013: From $140 to $225 per person
A culinary journey through special five or nine-course tasting menus.
Guests can enjoy menu highlights such as braised South Dakota goose ravioli with parsnip puree, roasted baby beets and truffle emulsion, or farm-raised Spanish sea bass with black garlic gnocchi and Lion’s Paw scallops with sauce diavolo, or a tempting grilled dry-aged buffalo cowboy steak with horseradish dauphinoise and creamed spinach, or a decadent interpretation of Hudson Valley Foie Gras prepared three ways. Leave room for the grand finale, a sophisticated dessert selection that is sure to usher in the New Year with joy. Reservations for the five and nine-course menus will be accepted from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wine pairings are available at an additional cost.

A four-course New Year’s Eve dinner with Latin inspiration. First course, choice of: beef carpaccio with onions, capers; bass ceviche with jicama, tomatillos, lime, onions; or mushroom rillette with goat cheese fondue and crispy toasts. Second course, choice of fall squash salad with herb goat cheese; chile spike Caesar salad with spiced croutes and manchego cheese; or leek and parsnip soup. Main course, choice of Cedar Rivers New York strip with vanilla mashed sweet potatoes; scallops and filet with chorizo crust, chimichurri and potato hash; Scottish salmon with quinoa, Swiss chard; or vegetable paella with saffron rice. For dessert, choice of: apple cake with dulce de leche cream cheese ice cream and apple salsa; chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting and chocolate sorbet; or champagne creme brulee with champagne infused creme brulee and fresh strawberries. The coastal Italian restaurant is offering a prix fixe menu. To start, choose from roasted cauliflower bisque or smoked salmon or risotto with black winter truffle. For the entree, choose from:surf n’ turf with grilled beef tenderloin, roasted lobster, garlic potato puree, asparagus; or
braised lamb shank with wild boar sausage, winter squash, baby bok choy; or roasted halibut with parsnip, spinach, pickled sun chokes and shrimp vellutato; or braised swiss chard with, glazed heirloom carrots, cherry tomato confit, pioppini mushrooms and avocado. For dessert choose from: mousse with white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and raspberries; or amaretto crème brûlée, vanilla and almond dust; or “pouding chômuer” with caramelized apples, caramel and hot maple syrup.

A five-Course Gala New Year’s Dinner. 7 p.m. reception, dinner starts at 8 p.m.
