Comments About Blaze Submitted by About Phoenix Visitors

By , About.com Guide

I created these pages of night club and bar reviews so that you, the visitors to About Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

A word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Appropriate reviews that are submitted will be reprinted here exactly as I receive them; if I edit the comments in any way, I will specifically mention it.

This place was nasty & Ghetto. To get in you had to get metal detected. This is the only place i know where they allow people to wear oversized t-shirts as club attire...

wow this place is so ghetto. I dont know where to begin the place is dirty, people are not civilized, and it is not worth your $10 you might end up in a fight and go to jail. Say NO to the blaze.

I live in Tucson AZ, It was my 21st Bday and all I wanted was to go to Phoenix and Party like never before, and dance until i couldnt walk :) So i searched online and found "Club Blaze" the site looked great, and looked like it would be a great place to spend my big night out at. O was I wrong. Me, my Fiance, His sister and her husband got all dressed up, called a cab, so we could drink and not have to drive. When we got there it didnt look that bad but as we waited in line we seen a few fights, and the cops ended up coming. So we finnally get in and O MY! It was horrible! I couldnt breath because there was NO ventilation or even fans in the "club" which seemed to be more of an old trailer in the movies in the ghetto where everyone sits around smoking cigars all day. we squeezed our way through the "3 different rooms" just to get to the dance floor, -about a 20x20 area packed to the fullest, and bar, that we could not get to, because there was no where to stand so everyone was kind of leaning on the bar. And was not about to move for little ol' me. So needless to say we got out of there, waiting in the deathly scary parking lot for another cab. And of course thats the only club i researched thinking it would be all we needed. So there was my Bday at club Blaze. I second the thought, if you value your dignity, and possibly your life, dont go there.

Please don't believe the negative comment posted above. BLAZE hosts several thousand people every year and is one of the most popular nightclubs in Arizona. AOL City guide names Blaze as the third best Dance CLub in all of the Valley. AZCentral.com lists Blaze as a top 10 Bar. It has won a Best of Phoenix Award from the New Times. I can tell you that the negative comments are not true.

My husband & I decided to try a different club this weekend & we drove 45mins or so to get to this place. When we got there it didn't seem too bad until my husband was patted down for weapons which he does not like but we still decided to give this place a chance. We paid $10 a piece to get in & once we walked in it was just awful!! It was dirty & looked like an old restaurant made into a club & it looked like they spent $40 on lights on the dance floor (if you could call it that) & maybe $150 on the sound system! The service to get drinks was no better! They claim to have three rooms? Yeah they got three rooms alright but they all clash together at some point. Then there was the fact that every drink had to be in a plastic cup...what we're not civilized enough to have glasses or bottles? I would never recommend anyone go there if they have any self respect! Or maybe even value their life.
