In 1986 the Phoenix Ballet, Ballet West Arizona, and Arizona Dance Theatre were combined to for Ballet Arizona.

Ballet Arizona is a professional ballet company located in Phoenix, Arizona that performs in venues around the State of Arizona. The Artistic Director of Ballet Arizona is Ib Andersen, a Balanchine-trained dancer and choreographer with experience at both the Royal Danish Ballet and New York City Ballet. He came to Ballet Arizona in 2000.

Ballet Arizona presents both classical and contemporary ballet performances. The dance company includes more than 30 dancers for each season.

Each September Ballet Arizona presents short, free performances in parks around the Greater Phoenix area. Here are the details about the current Ballet Under the Stars programs. Regular performances usually take place between November and June.
