When you drop your line into the 5-acre lake at Veterans Oasis Park you might catch channel catfish, rainbow trout, bluegill, redear sunfish, hybrid sunfish and/or largemouth bass. Those are the types of fish that are typically stocked here. There are no catch-and-release requirments but there are limitations. You can check the daily bag and possession limit at the signs on the south side of the lake.
The average depth of the lake at Veterans Oasis Park is 12 feet, with a maximum depth of 14 feet. An Urban Fishing License is required but they are not sold here, so make sure everyone who'll be fishing has one when you come. No one may swim or wade in the water -- that includes the family pet! Glass containers are not allowed, and you must have a permit to have alcoholic beverages here.
Factoid: You may put a boat in the lake here, but no motors are allowed and you must carry it from the main parking lot located south of the lake. A City of Chandler boating permit is required.
