I opted for gold foil envelopes and had the return address printed on the back flap of the envelopes. that added $12.50 to the price. Prices mentioned do not include tax and delivery.

Guide Review - Southwest Holiday Cards from La Casa Card Company

I ordered my holiday cards this year from La Casa Card Company. I like sending cards that depict Arizona themes, since most of my cards are sent to people outside the state; I'm not as interested in the commercial cards with Santa, reindeer and snow. La Casa Card Company had a nice selection of cards from which to choose. I picked artwork created by the owner, Brenda Bowers, depicting prickly pear cactus and a family of Gambel's Quail. You can order the standard package with a standard greeting (cheaper than the price I mentioned above), or you can personalize the cards as I did.

I found the website confusing, and there were many options for holiday cards and envelopes from which to select, so I decided to call. Brenda was very patient with me while I decided on cards, envelope styles, print styles, etc. I was able to approve the proof of the cards that was sent to my by email. My order was shipped in two days -- very fast! Everything about the order was accurate, and I was very pleased with the quality of the product. Keep in mind that this small business is also handling large corporate orders in the tens of thousands at a time. After December 1 you can still place an order, but I'd check with Brenda to see if she can complete your order and have it shipped by the time you need to mail your cards.

La Casa Card Company also offers a selection cards in Spanish as well as religious Christmas cards.

Brenda tells me that portion (in the neighborhood of 10%, sometimes more) of the net profit from all sales are donated to local charities the Casa de los Niños shelter for abused and neglected children and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Would I order from La Casa Cards again? You betcha. I'm thinking some Southwest blank note cards might make nice stocking stuffers....

All prices and offerings are subject to change without notice.
