Bottling and Labelling Your Wine

Make Your Own Wine at Casavino Winery

Bottling, Corking, and Affixing the Labels

Wine Label Property of Hedding Family

Six to eight weeks later we returned to Casavino Winery and spent about an hour bottling, corking and labelling our 28 bottles of Pinot Noir.

Note: If you ordered white wines, they are ready to enjoy as soon as you pick them up. Red wines should age another three to six months (or longer) for additional smoothness and complexity.

I highly recommend this unique experience for yourselves, or as a gift to a wine lover in your life. The wines are very drinkable, and are similar to comparably priced wines available from local retailers. A holiday gift for the Mom and Dad who have everything? A different kind of Valentine's gift? Not your run-of-the-mill wedding shower party? This may be your answer.

One question we had was what to do with 28 bottles of wine? Yes, we drink a glass of wine with nearly every meal, but 28 bottles still seems like a lot! If you have the same concern, here are some ideas:

  • Keep 14 bottles of wine and give 14 as gifts
  • Go in 50/50 with another couple
  • Use the wine as corporate gifts for your business
