Chompie's prides itself on being the Valley's favorite "New York Style Deli Restaurant, Bagel Factory and Bakery." Sure they know how to make turkey, but not everyone wants turkey during the holiday season. So, here it is -- Chompie's Famous Brisket of Beef Recipe.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 lb. Beef Brisket
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 16 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 2-Tbs. soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
- 4-cups water
- 1-tsp granulated onion
- 1-tsp. granulated garlic
- 1-tsp. black pepper
Preparation:
Combine spices, teriyaki and soy sauce to make a paste and rub on beef brisket. Place in roasting pan and add vegetables, crushed tomatoes, and water. Cover pan with aluminum foil and cook at 350 degrees for
2 hours or until meat is tender. Serves 6 to 8.
