Egg Nog

This holiday Egg Nog recipe was provided by Lon's at The Hermosa Inn. Lon's is an elegant, award winning restaurant in Paradise Valley, Arizona. All the ingredients are easily found at any of our local grocery stores.

Ingredients:

  • 12 egg yolks
  • 8 ounces sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 liter cream
  • 1 liter milk
  • 12 egg whites

Preparation:

Whip up egg yolks, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon until light and fluffy. Add milk and cream, fold in until smooth. Whip up egg whites to soft peaks; fold into the egg yolk mixture until smooth. Refrigerate for two hours until chilled. Makes 16 servings (4 oz. size).
