Peach and Berries Cobbler

By Judy Hedding, About.com

I originally saw this recipe for Peach and Berries Cobbler at the web site for Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hours, 00 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2-1.2 lbs. peaches and frozen berries. You can use blueberries, rasperries, blackberries, or strawberries.
  • 1 pie shell
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 lb. butter, softened

Preparation:

Distribute fruit evenly into pie shell. Fruit should not be defrosted. In a large bowl, use your hands to mix butter, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbs form. Do not let crumbs powder. Put crumbs on top of the fruit in the pie shell--be generous! Bake at 300 degrees for 50-60 minutes, until cobbler starts to bubble inside. Remove from oven and cool before eating.
