There are two Pointe Hilton Resorts, both of which are in Central Phoenix. Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort is a bit off the beaten path, on 16th Street between Glendale and Northern. Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort is on 7th Street, south of Thunderbird and is in the middle of the North Mountain Preserve. Both are Spanish-Mediterranean-designed, and all their accommodations are suites. Dive-in movies, poolside games, arts and crafts, cooking lessons with the chefs and milkshake parties are samples of some of the summer activities that usually take place.
From May 28 to August 31, 2013 The River Ranch will be transformed into an imaginary land for both children and adults with various themes for each month, including superheroes, science fiction and sports. Resort guests are invited to enjoy complimentary activities connected to the month’s theme, as well as dress the part. During the month of June, River Ranch goes SciFi. During the week, the science fiction theme will be prevalent in the games, activities and snacks, which include cosmic putt-putt golf, green slime snow-cones and making spacecrafts to take home. The week's movies include “Despicable Me,” “Back to the Future” and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.” In July, River Ranch will be the safest place in Phoenix with superheroes coming to the rescue for the month’s theme. Featuring movies such as “Captain America,” “The Incredibles” and “Spiderman,” children will enjoy crafts like making superhero capes and Captain America shields. The River Ranch gets sporty in August, featuring baseball and football training camps and mini tournaments, both on land and in the water. The All-American sports inspired the River Ranch chefs to serve home-made Cracker Jacks and feature a classic hot dog cart. The Friday night dive-in movies will include “The Rookie,” “A League of their Own,” “The Blind Side” and “Remember the Titans.”

Guests can have one last splash into summer savings in August with the Pointe Hilton Resorts’ “Back to School” offer. When booked before June 30, suites are available starting from $69 a night at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, and starting from $79 a night at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak.
