People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.
Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

(Birmingham, Alabama) Absolutley terrible. The service was spotty. The oysters made my girlfriend sick almost imediatley. I had the Jakes etouffe it was way to salty. When I asked our server if we could get something else, he was gone for 15 minutes and came back with no menus. By then We had enough. Do not waste your time with this overpriced mistake.

We go to lunch at this restaurant about once a month. The fish is always fresh and they have a nice selection of wines. The Sand Dabs, Catfish and Seafood Salad are our favorites. Service is excellent. The valet parking is expensive in my opinion, albeit I use it. Public parking is nearby.

I had lunch today at this restaurant for the first time. I sat at the bar and the waiter was wonderful and just GREAT. He told me about the menu and I ended up having the BEST salmon I ever had. I recommend this restaurant. Food wonderful, the people were wonderful. I will be going back. YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT :-)

(Beaverton, Oregon location) We went into the Beaverton, Oregon McCormick & Schmick's tonight 3/4/05 an were treated like SECOND CLASS CITIZENS! We love Jake's and thought we would have the same experience but were so very disappointed. We are surpised because we expected the same kind of customer service. It will be a while before we go back to Jake's NEVER to the Beaverton McCormick & Schmick's.

Serving fresh fish in an intimate, unique and friendly atmosphere. The services were very professional and courteous. And while we were prepared to our liking, the Blue Point Oyster (six oysters on half shell $11.95) came. The plate has 2 big and 4 very tiny small oysters set on a bowl of ice - yeah! $11.95. The servers explained they were all Blue Point Oyster but it's just small. Whoever open the shells back in the kitchen should have drop the small oysters back to the bucket. It's a rip off!
