Guide Review - Famous Dave's
I don't like to think too hard when I go out to eat, so I appreciate the fact that Famous Dave's makes combination plate suggestions that help me make choices. BBQ with catfish, BBQ chicken with ribs, chicken with fish, and of course, you can mix and match barbecue meats and ribs if you prefer. There are several varieties of Dave's Famous Barbecue Sauce available on the tables, including Devil's Spit, Dave's For Adults Only XXX Hot barbecue sauce.
We are always pleased with our meals at Famous Dave's. Today we had a Catfish and Ribs Platter, pictured above, a Baby Backs Platter, and a Chopped Pork Platter. All entrees come with corn bread, corn on the cob, and either one or two sides. Sides aren't as creative as I'd like--there's no okra or blackeyed peas here. The firecracker green beans made me feel good for eating a vegetable, but they weren't memorable. As for the Salmon Spread appetizer--I loved it! What a nice change from wings or fried tidbits. It's plenty for two people.
We've also tried Famous Dave's Family Style To Go platters. The food was a success, and cleanup was so easy!
