Rocky Point is booming right now, with luxury condos, golf courses, seaside summer homes, resorts and fancy restaurants being built as you read this. There is construction everywhere. As you drive around Rocky Point, though, you are reminded that this is a real town, where real people live all year long, and many of them are not wealthy. The tourist industry keeps this town alive and provides jobs for the residents. As far as the locals are concerned, there are nicer homes than the one pictured here, but there are also living areas (I won't call them homes) that are not even as nice as this one. After you leave your air conditioned condo, take a drive around some city streets to get a feel for the great variance of lifestyles here.

Rocky Point Tip: Beware of vacation rental deals that sound too good to be true. You probably won't be happy with a hotel room that's $30 per night, just like you wouldn't be happy with such a room in Phoenix.
