We seem to have quite a few companies offering daily deals, deals of the day (they might not be daily deals) half price bargains and other discounts on local products and services in the Phoenix area. Typically, signing up to receive the one day deal emails is free, and then you might have a limited time to take advantage of the discount offer. Discounts are often 50% off or more. The typical daily deals include (but are not limited to) Phoenix restaurants, spa services, salon services or local attractions.
How does it work? Businesses pay these companies to promote a daily deal that will bring a large number of new customers to their businesses, in hopes that some of them will become regular customers. Make sure you read all the restrictions, including expiration dates on the deals. For the deals that require a minimum number of buyers for the deal to be "on" you will not be charged if not enough buyers purchase the deal.
