ASU Sun Devils Attract Large Crowds

Arizona State University has an extensive sports program, and one of the most popular for spectators is football. The A.S.U. Sun Devils play at Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field in Tempe, Arizona. The stadium seats just over 73,000 and has hosted Arizona State University football games since 1958. Dirk Koetter is the Arizona State Head Football Coach; he's had that position since December 2000.

The Arizona State Sun Devil Football team finished the 2006 season with an overall record of 7-5 (4-5 Pac-10). They earned a ticket to the Hawaii Bowl, but were defeated there. They finished 2006 in 5th place in their conference.

ASU plays in the PAC-10, along with 9 other teams: USC, Cal, Oregon, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, Stanford, Arizona, and Washington. One of the favorite games for spectators is always the game against ASU's perennial rivals, the Arizona Wildcats who play at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
