Insight Bowl 2009

The Insight Bowl has been played in Phoenix since 2000. It all started in Tucson, Arizona in 1989 as the Copper Bowl. The Copper Bowl became the Insight.com Bowl when Insight Enterprises signed a long term deal to be title sponsor of the game, and in 2002 the name was changed to the Insight Bowl.

The 21st Annual Insight Bowl will be played on Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

When is the Insight Bowl?

The Insight Bowl will be played on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Arizona time.

Will the Insight Bowl be televised?

Tickets start at $22.

1. In person at the Fiesta Bowl/Insight Bowl office at 7135 E. Camelback Rd, #190, Scottsdale.

3. Online in mid-November.

How do I get to Sun Devil Stadium?

Here is a map and directions to Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University, including METRO light rail information. Leave plenty of time--there are bound to be large crowds.

The Arizona Department of Transportation usually provides detailed motorist information, including any travel or road restrictions, for this event. Call 5-1-1, then *7. The call is free.

Who is playing this year?

The sixth ranked teams from the Big 12 and Big Ten Conferences. When they are announced I'll update here.

Where should I look for a hotel room?

If you are just coming in for the game and related festivities, you'll probably want to stay at a hotel in downtown Tempe or at a hotel on the METRO light rail line. If you are driving, a hotel in downtown Scottsdale would be close, too.
