Maricopa County is the largest county in Arizona, and includes the City of Phoenix, the capitol of Arizona. There are also more than 25 cities, towns and communities (Census Designated Place, or CDP) in Maricopa County.

The U.S. Census Bureau has released their data on county population statistics for the period ending April 2010. The actual census only takes place every ten years, in dates ending in a zero, the the next full census will take place in 2020.
