Scottsdale Super ArtWalk

The internationally renowned Scottsdale ArtWalk is a unique event spread across several city blocks in the Scottsdale Arts District. This Super ArtWalk will be held the day before Super Bowl XLII. Dozens of fine art galleries in downtown Scottsdale will open their doors to the public, host receptions and showcase new exhibits. ArtWalkers will be treated to outdoor live music areas, multiple food sampling stations hosted by local eateries, prize drawings and more. Noon – 5 p.m. This is an officially sanctioned event of the Arizona Super Bowl Committee. February 2, 2008.

Super Bowl Block Party

The Super Bowl Block Party will be a popular place to be at Tempe Town Lake. It is expected to feature live bands, food booths and a pep rally, all capped by fireworks. This is a free, family-oriented event. February 2, 2008.

Super Bowl Gospel Celebration

Big names in the music industry and testimonies from top NFL players. In its ninth year, the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is the first and only gospel event sanctioned by the National Football League for Super Bowl Weekend. It also serves as a fundraiser with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local and national charities. February 1, 2008. This is an officially sanctioned event of the Arizona Super Bowl Committee.

Super Bowl NFL Charities Celebrity Bowling Classic

AMF Christown Lanes, Phoenix. January 31, 2008, 9 p.m. The bowling classic, sponsored by Strike Ten, will host teams of five, each led by a different celebrity. The entry fee is a $500 donation to NFL Charities. Prizes will be awarded to members of the top three finishing teams in the bowling classic and all bowlers will receive a commemorative Super Bowl XLII bowling ball and pin. Proceeds from both events will support the NFL YET Center initiative, which serves as a safe haven for at-risk youth, offering counseling, educational mentoring and recreational programs in each Super Bowl host city. Super Bowl NFL Charities Celebrity Golf Classic

Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa, Litchfield Park. February 2, 2008, 10 a.m. A celebrity captain will be assigned to each team of five. Teams will play on all three courses at The Wigwam. The entry fee for this event is a $1,500 donation to NFL Charities. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing teams on each of the three golf courses. Golfers will receive a commemorative photo plaque. Those participating in both this and the bowling event will receive a gift bag of official Super Bowl XLII apparel from Reebok. Super Fiesta

Super Fiesta is a Latino super concert and festival, and will be the largest celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture, showcasing Arizona’s diversity. Attendees will enjoy a day and evening of Latin flavor, from the authentic food, to the family-friendly activities, to the live music showcasing all styles of Latin rhythms such as salsa, Mexican regional and Spanish pop. January 26, 2008. This is an officially sanctioned event of the Arizona Super Bowl Committee.

Taste of the NFL

The NFL will host a $500-a-plate Taste of the NFL dinner, showcasing top chefs from each of the 31 NFL cities, at the downtown Phoenix Convention Center. February 2, 2008. This is an officially sanctioned event of the Arizona Super Bowl Committee.
