About the US Airways Center:
US Airways Center was known as the America West Arena until it changed its name on January 6, 2006 as the result of the merger between America West Airlines and US Airways. It was built primarily for the Phoenix Suns basketball team, but hosts many concerts, family events and shows throughout the year. The America West Arena was built in 1992 and seats nearly 19,000 people.
