I can understand why so many people love chocolate. After all, the botanical name of the chocolate plant is Theobramba cacao, which means “Food of the Gods.” Personally, I'd rather have chips and salsa, but if it's chocolate you crave, there are many places in the greater Phoenix area where you can satisfy your sweet tooth. Here are spots around town where you can buy chocolate products for your lover, your sweetheart, your best friend, your children, or even yourself!

Where To Buy Chocolate in the Phoenix Area

  1. Cerreta Candy Company
The only store is in Glendale, Arizona, but you can also order online. The Cerreta Candy Company is a family owned business, founded almost 30 years ago, by Jim Cerreta, Sr. who learned candy making in his father-in-law’s factory in Ohio. Jim passed the trade to his entire family. You can take a free tour of Cerreta's!
  2. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
"Individual stores prepare a variety of caramel and candy apples, fudge and chocolate dipped items in full view of the customer using traditional cooking utensils such as copper kettles on gas-fired stoves and marble slab cooling tables." There are six locations: Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale, Outlets at Anthem, Phoenix Desert Ridge Marketplace, Paradise Valley Mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square, Arizona Mills in Tempe and Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.
  3. Granny's Chocolate Creations
Chocolate roses might be a hit, or gourmet Dark and White chocolate butterflies, or have something custom molded! You give them your item, like a cookie jar, and they will create it in chocolate. Granny's Chocolate Creations has one retail location in Gilbert, or you can order online.
  4. Fuzziwig's Candy Factory
"Over 400 varieties of candy, hard-to-find specialty toys and plush animals thoughtfully organized and displayed to create an enjoyable shopping experience." And yes, chocolate! Located at: Arizona Mills in Tempe, Arrowhead Mall in Glendale, Chandler Fashion Center, Metrocenter and Paradise Valley Malls.
  5. Candy's Apples
Will you select the Big Kahuna, enveloped in caramel, surrounded with roasted macadamias, then crowned with milk chocolate, or maybe The Masterpiece, hand decorated with bands of milk chocolate, dark and creamy white chocolate? Products may be purchased at select AJ's Fine Foods locations, or order online.
  6. Fairytale Brownies
One retail location in Phoenix, or order online. "Today we still use the same 48-year-old family recipe to create the world’s best brownies. Each batch is handcrafted from Callebaut dark Belgian chocolate, premium Grade AA butter, farm fresh eggs, fluffy cake flour - and a dash of magic!"
  7. See's Candies
See's has stores in Glendale, Mesa, Chandler, Phoenix, and Scottsdale in the major malls. They also have locations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
  8. 7 Sisters Sweet Shop And Chocolate
Their shop is in north Scottsdale, or you can order online. "We truly are a family of 7 sisters. From our roots in the Midwest we have established our sweet shop in Scottsdale, Arizona. We offer a full line of Belgian assorted chocolates at our chocolate company, including sugar free chocolates, chocolate gifts and chocolate party favors, using only the finest Belgian chocolate and we prepare each piece by hand."
  9. Godiva Chocolates
"Godiva's history began more than seventy-five years ago in Brussels, Belgium when master chocolatier Joseph Draps founded a chocolate company that was named in honor of the legend of Lady Godiva." Godiva Chocolates has three stores: Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix, Scottsdale Fashion Square, and Chandler Fashion Center.

All locations and offerings are subject to change without notice. All quotations were found at the business' web site.
