People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.
Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Whatever! It's all for fun!

I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. I wanted to treat a friend to a nice dinner so I picked Avanti. We decided to sit in the bar since Monday Night Football was on. After waiting several minutes to be seated we ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. After about 10 minutes the waiter came to ask if we were ready to order. I asked him if there were any specials and he seemed annoyed but rattled off a few. When he returned some time later we ordered. When the food came mine had spinich in it which was not listed in the description in the menu. As I was picking it out I noticed the sauce was very watery. I tasted it and it was not good at all. It was like the pasta was cooked and served in the leftover water from the spinach. I did not eat it. After quite sometime the waiter came over and I told him the meal was terrible. He took it away. My friend loves dessert so we ordered coffee and a dessert to share. They brought the coffee in a reasonable amount of time but the dessert, which was cold, did not come for a full 10 minutes. He kind of tossed it on the table and left. After another 10 minutes I went to find the waiter to ask for the check. I could not believe my eyes when I saw that they intended to charge me for my meal. I went directly up to the waiter and he was standing with a few other waiters. It felt like they were waiting for me. I told him that I was not paying for a meal I did not eat. With all the problems with spinach right now and the poor quality of the meal in general It was not worth anything and certinally not the $20.00 they were trying to charge me. They claimed it was broccoli, not spinach and argued with me for a few minutes. I gave him the check and went back to my table. After a short period of time he returned with the check minus the meal. All in all the service was terrible and the meal they served me was very bad. They really didn't care about our business at all and that is very sad. It seemed like it would be a very nice place, I'm dissappointed.
