People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.
Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

We regularly go to Blowfish and enjoy everything about it very much! The food is exceptionally fresh and the Sushi Chefs are great! The Teppan is very highly recommend it! Its always fun and the food is spectacular. Great for happy hour after a long day also!

I used to work at Blowfish and got "laid off" a while back and i know what goes on in the kitchen. I also know all the food is alwaysa fresh and the people that say otherwise are either picky or stupid and un-experianced as far as sushi goes. And the comments about managers being rude in any way is ridiculous, they are completely willing to work with any customer even if it means free $15 appatizers. The only issue is the owners understaff EVERY NIGHT to save money and servers are punished by small tips, especially by the people with bad attitudes that cant afford to go out in the first place and should have stayed home if they can't afford to tip in a higher class restaurant. i highly recommend going to blowfish, it is well worth the relatively high prices.

LIKE THE NAME STATES BLOWFISH BLOWS. WE HAD AN 8 O'CLOCK RESERVATION AND WHEN WE SHOWED UP FOR IT WE WERE TOLD "WE ARE MUCH BUSIER THAN WE THOUGHT WE'ED BE" AND WE HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF. THEN ONE OF THE HOSTESSES TOLD MY SISTER IN LAW "YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE" WHEN SHE INQUIRED ABOUT OUR TABLE BEING READY. THE COOK SAID 2 WORDS TO US WHILE PREPARING OUR FOOD. USUALLY YOU GET A SHOW AND SOME FUN... BUT NOT AT THE BLOWfish. WE WOULD NEVER RECOMEND ANYONE TRYING THIS PLACE.

I've been to tons of sushi restaurants in the valley and highly recommend blowfish. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and great sushi selections. Try The Pink Dynamite Scallops (house specialty) or the Scorpion Roll--it has sliced jalepenos and a great kick. Check out the cool patio vibe on cool nights.

Blowfish is the best restaurant I've been to. The seafood is really fresh also they even have Blue Fin Tuna Belly, which most restaurants don't have and I love it and it is delicious. The teppan puts on a great show and the restaurants's atmoshphere is very welcoming. I recommend this restaurant to everybody. They were even on the Phoenix Magazine the July Issue with a wonderful review. And one more thing the steam clams is the best even Phoenix Magazine were impressed.

I ordered the steamed clams. They were just ok, but when i found one that was putrid and rotten and black in color i was so disgusted that i couldn't even finish my meal. I asked for the manager and he gave me nothing but a bad attitude. I told him that i was not willing to pay for the clams because i thought i was going to be sick. He said "fine we don't want people like you here anyway".
