This was our first time to EJ's. I thought that the restaurant was gorgous, and the service was the best I have had anywhere. We got there about 7:00 for dinner and ordered the PRIME 22OZ PORTERHOUSE along with the seafood scampi for my girlfriend, with the dinner we had a bottle of Penfolds Grange Shiraz. The steak was to die for way better then City Hall in Scottsdale. The scampi was a hit for my girl(who eats like a bird)she finished it clean, and the wine complimented every bit we had. EJ's is my new steakhouse. Thanks for the great memory, we will be back for many more.

This is my second vist to EJ's and I continue to be disappointed. Although the atmosphere is elegant & sophisticated, the service is incosistenet with a fine dining establishment. My wife ordered the oyster appetizer and a salad with steak for dinner and I Ordered the 10oz. N.Y. The appetizer arrived promply as did the salad soon after. My wife had finished her dinner before my N.Y steak arrived forcing us to eat separately. For dessert we ordered a Creme Brule and 2 cups of coffee w/ cream and sugar. The dessert was served w/o silverware and the coffee arrived w/o sugar or real half and half. Took a while to get someone to bring us sugar for our coffee. Server while polite seemed to lack experience and knowledge of wines. Young busser kept addressing my wife as "dear" Spent $81 for dinner for 2 and continue to be dissapointed. I will try one more time before moving on.

Outstanding dining experience. All stages of our meal were excellent. Seared Ahi appetizer was great, prime filet was outstanding, and the crab legs were perfect. For sides we had the asparagus, ratatouille, and the cream style corn. Everything was fantastic -the cream style corn was unlike any I have ever had - highly recommended. For dessert we had the creme brulle and the bananas foster - great way to end the meal. Service and atmosphere were all top-notch. Going back very soon. Also - the butcher shop has great prices on quality meats - much better pricing than the only other, much more popular butcher shop in the area.

I am shocked at what some have said about EJ'S I went there on a first date on 2/1/08 and found the restaurant to be one of the best in the area. Our waiter (Fuzzy) to be fun and very knowledgeable. The decor was very nice not a table in the whole restaurant just booths. The oysters were the best I have had in years. The steak you could cut it with a butter knife and done to perfection! Wine was recommended by the waiter and he was right on the money but brought out several to try first. The owners were at our table to make sure we had everything we wanted. Very nice tough and the deserts pure heaven! As we were leaving the owners meet use at the door and remembered our names and the whole experience was very special. I highly recommend it to every one who love good service and better food! I plan on becoming a regular.

First, let me say that I am going to give this place one star because our waiter was ok. One could see that he was overly interested in impressing us and getting a good tip (which he did!) However, if it were only about the food and its value, I'd say 'no stars.' I have to agree with most of the unfavorable reviews. We went there for our 29th anniversary on Dec 15, and it was deeply disappointing. The food was not only overly priced, but the taste was bland and unimpressive. We both had appetizers, filet mignons, mashed potatoes and rotatouille, an excellent bottle of cabernet and creme brulee. The only two items that merited some recognition were the wine and the creme brulee. We were hoping that this establishment would bring a much needed upscale, great steakhouse to our area, but that is not the case. We can honestly say that you will get a better value and far better dining experience at Outback's.

Very expensive for a so so meal. Bread is served cold and steak mushy. Good Brussells sprouts . We were most dissappointed and if you would like to waste your money go there.

I find it hard to believe some of the reviews that have been posted about EJ's. I've been a regular customer since they opened. Everything here is fresh and first class!! Every steak i have had here has been unbelievable!! I had a porterhouse at LG's in Palm Springs (One of America's Top Ten Steakhouses) that couldn't come close!! If anyone is going out for a casual meal or a special occasion, EJ's is the place to be!! Save room for dessert!!

I took my family there tonight looking forward to a good steak dinner. Three of us had the fillet which was over tenderized and tasted mushy. My son had his steak medium rare and is looked amazing. My daughter's boyfriend had the chicken and it was pretty much tasteless. The garlic mash potatoes tasted like instant mash potatoes. The grilled asparagus was four big tough spears that were okay at best. With tip I spent $200 for an okay at best dinner.
