Fogo e Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse

Reviews of Fogo e Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse

By , About.com Guide

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

Wonderful!! Had a stupendous lunch with my son, and wish we had gotten there earlier as the staff had to get ready for the dinner crowd...The staff was patient with us and was very courteous. All you stuck up snobs from the east side of town can't seem to appreciate much other than "Your Elegant Atmosphere". If Fogo E Brasa ever has the notion to open a restaurant out in the Avondale/Goodyear area ~they will be welcomed with open arms!

I don't know why so many bad review have been posted of this place. It was $31 not including drink for all you can eat. I highly recomend reservations because the place was packed. The food was amazing, the roast beef was the best I had ever had. The biggest problem was the size of the restaraunt and the speed of the service. It was really cramped and it took a while for the servers to get us sometimes, they also ran out of meats before they got to our table a bunch of time. All in all I had a good experience

How can this place still be open??? It amazes me that all of our neighbors and friends think it's the most disgusting restaurant in Ahwatukee. We did notice they advertise in the Southwest and US AIr magazines. Amazing! All of their clientele must be out of towners who I'm sure are not coming back. They need to shut this place down. It gives Ahwatukee a bad name.

Heard great things about Fogo e Brasa but read some comments that made me weiry but went with my wife and friends b/c some of my colleagues were raving. You will NOT find a better deal than this place ($31 for all the salad (shrimp, crab legs, calamari etc))& meat you can eat. Everything was fresh!! and prepared at the restaurant. The salad bar was extensive with huge variety of selections (35): Eggplant, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, shrimp, nussels etc and all you can eat. The meats was right off the fire, 14 different types, which you can see cooking..cool), dripping with juices as they come around and slice it on your plate. Rare, med or well, they make it just how you like. Dessert were rolled over on a 5' cart. We found that all desserts were made at the restaurant. Next time I come back, I'm bringing a bigger appetite. Momma always says don't always listen to what people say, proof is in the pudding....Thanks Fogo. We will be back

Horrible!! Avoid like the plague! I travel all over the country, and eat at churrascarias in different cities at least once or twice a week. This is by far the worst! In fact, I'm insulted that they even call this a Brazilian steak house. Terrible food, poor quality meats, extremely limited selection, improperly prepared and served.

It was one of the worst restaurants I have been to for $300 bucks. I do not recommend this place to anyone. First off, the ladies that greet you didn't have or reservations, I made them online, called to confirm 3 days prior and called to confirm the day of and they still didn't have them when we showed up. The servers did not speak hardly any English. The food wasn't hot and tasted like beef jerky, oh and the 35 item salad bar they promise online is half salad dressings. I will never step foot in this restaurant again.

The staff was rude, the food was terrible and inedible. After the first round of some type of grey meat, we asked to speak to the manager, who happended to be the owner because we felt the quality of the food was substandard. She basically told us "tough luck" and insulted us and told us we didn't know good food (we are from NYC by the way). To add injury to insult, we were presented with a bill for over $120 and we didn't even eat. Of course, we had no choice but to pay. We had gone their for our son's birthday and were very disappointed. We would never recommend this place to anyone. The food was below the standard my family is used to. The meat was awful!
