LoLo's Chicken and Waffles

Reviews of LoLo's Chicken and Waffles Submitted by About Phoenix Visitors

By Judy Hedding, About.com

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

Lolo's is one of my 5 favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The food is great but what really stands out in the place is the atmosphere. The owner Larry White busts his butt working behind the counter, in the kitchen and greeting guests. As a testament to how popular Lolo's is, I called and asked how long the wait was. She says 45 minutes. The restaurant isn't very big and when we arrived there were a dozen (literally) people standing outside waiting IN THE RAIN IN PHOENIX. The wait was less than 30 minutes btw. 5 stars!

I have never had a bad experience at this place, the food is always on point and the service is also good. Granted, it is a very small location, so if you are going for lunch go early to beat the crowd, but if you have to wait it is well worth it. I have never had one thing on the menu that I could complain about. Only thing I hate is the limited hours, by the time I get off work and pick up the fam they are about to close :-(. Oh well, what can you do........there is always the weekends!!!

My all time favorite place! You must try it! The fried chicken is light and cooked to perfection.. absolutely fabulous! The waffles are fantastic with a wonderful sweet cream flavor. You just couldnt find a nicer more helpful staff!

my several visits to lo-lo's chicken and waffle, were the worst experiences i have had in a restaurant.......someone will ask? then why several times? i will give dues where it is deserved....the food is great.....especially the waffles, however, the service is ridiculous!!! to say the least, manager and workers are extremely rude and have no customer service skills. my first experience when i walked in, they put my name on the list and then the manager rudely...tells me, 'The waiting area is outside the door!' second, the waitress comes to my table and asks me, 'Could you move to a smaller table, we have other people coming in!' third..we order the food....eggs and waffle, it took forever for the food to get there.....mark my point....only the waffle...no eggs (which arrived after i was done eating the waffle and ready to leave), which i was charged for, even after i asked the waitress/waiter to return the egg, since i was already done eating. lo-lo chicken and waffle is only good for it's food..but you must be willing to sacrifice customer service for good food.
