Reviews of Pasta Pomodoro In Phoenix

By Judy Hedding, About.com

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About.com Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

(Cactus & Tatum) We've eaten here dozens of times. Great quality and flavors, excellent value. Standout dishes for all tastes and preferences: Butternut Squash ravioli (wow), Cozze (mussels), Bolognese, Grilled Salmon, Meatballs, Verdure (roasted mixed veggies -- another WOW), sauteed spinach etc. Well-rounded menu; full bar with tasty Italian and other wines at great prices. Very casual atmosphere, but food quality and consistency of a far fancier establishment.

(Cactus & Tatum location) Upon entering there was no one attending the Hostess station. We waited a few minutes and were told to just seat oursleves wherever we wanted. After sitting at our table for 10-12 minutes with no one acknowledging us and after having had made eye contact with 2 waitiers and what appeared to be a hostess no less than three times. We got up and left. No one even bothered to acknowledge the fact that we were leaving or even seemed to care. There were no more than 10-12 tables being served and there appeared to be a more than adequate wait staff of 5 or so. The menu looked promising so we left disappointed but will not be back.
