Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Unless I specifically mention that I have edited a review for some reason, you see the comments posted here exactly as I received them.

Arrived at 6:10 PM,signed list for a table, told it would be one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes.Would have left to come back another time but wanted to try them out. While waiting a truck pulled up and at 7:00 PM and out comes a family of five. Husband signs list and immediately due to his size stads in front of door and stats pressuring the young gut signing you up for immediate seating. He goes inside and starts in on the staff. Long story short. They were seated ad in doing so a party of four ahead of us got beat out of their table and had to be seated outside. So as delicious as the food is, just tell them you are a diabetic like he did and get seatd right away. By the way, the staff was barraged with requests for free salads etc from them because they had to wait for a table. There is justice after all.The staff was drove nuts by his requests.Food was DELICIOUS though.

Have been there 3 times. The first when they opened was wonderful. The second time was a few months later. Had spaghetti and meatballs and the meatballs were horribly freezer burnt. Third time several months later for the white pizza. Ordered the large. There was a border on the pizza that was 2 to 3 inches deep with no toppings at all. It was a Sunday and the chef was into the football game. Maybe he put small pizza toppings on the large pizza out of confusion with the game. When asked about it, the chef became defensive telling us how other customers liked it. From the ratings that's true. The pizza was good. Just didn't like ordering a large pizza a getting small pizza toppings.

Having been born and raised in New York and residing in Chicago during my professional career, it is hard to get excited about La Piazza Al Forno's pizza. It is brick oven pizza that has a very thin crackerlike crust. Not much of a pizza for the price. Not my cup of tea. I understand the entrees are pretty good.

We were antiquing in Glendale, just happened to see the restaurant and went in. It was the best pizza I can remember having. The sauce was perfectly spiced, not too much cheese and sauce and lots of meat. We ordered the Italian Stallion. We will make it a point to drive to Glendale from Mesa to eat there again and again. Simply delicious!

Good fresh ingredients and positive attitude make this a great place for standard Italian food.

Saw "Diners Drive-ins and Dives" on 04-27-09, featuring La Piazza, ate there on 04-28-09, took leftovers to work on 04-29-09. I am going back today for lucn. Absolutely wonderful. I didnt know it was there, lived in the area my whole life, but it is definitely the BEST pizza I have ever had.

We went to La Piazza on night one because it was close to our hotel--fantastic food. We went back on night 2 because of Justin and his wife--the place was closing but they said they wouldn't turn us away--again the food was fantastic. We live in Tucson but will make special trips to Glendale for La Piazza! There is no better pizza, and I am a frequent New York City and Chicago visitor.

Awesome awesome place. We discovered this hidden gem last year during Glendale Glitters. The pizza is totally to die for with the fresh ingredients..I highly recommend The Mediteranian. Guarantee you will never order Dominos or go to Olive Garden ever again. I have never ordered anything that wasn't just the greatest. Nice and fresh Italian food. The staff are so very friendly and highly appreciative of their customers.
