Reviews of Zest Spirited Dining Submitted by About Phoenix Visitors

By , About.com Guide

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About Phoenix, could have your say. Even if I have not yet reviewed the restaurant that you visited, I will post your review here. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Whatever! It's all for fun!

if you like zest you dont know food. but i do have to say the service is great. first we started with the shrimp and goat cheese dip. it was extremely salty and they used tiny little salad shrimp. dont call yourself upscale and use ingredients like that. the salad they serve with your entree is good. then for my entree i had the rainbow trout. all i have to say is that it was like licking a salt lick. the kid preparing the food had a heavy hand with salt aparently,he needs more training. then the fish itself was covered so much in sauce that it was like eating fish soup. they need to update their menu and add some more items. i would not go back. THEY ARE WAY OVER PRICED. get good food and then charge prices like you have. there are way better restaurants in phoenix

My husband and I both agree, the food is the BEST at ZEST Spirited Dining. Flavorful in a beautifully "subtle" way, not overwhelming, just totally delicious. Beginning with the Eggplant Cheesecake appetizer (just heavenly and smooth), the fresh, crisp, tasty salad prepared at tableside with scrumptious add ons, a basketful of the yummiest, warm bread, to our absolutely incredible entrees. My panko breaded pork chop filled my plate and the taste was heavenly. My husband chose the Catfish Gumbo and could not have been happier with his selection. Our first time there and it definitely won't be our last, we plan to make it one of our most favorite places to dine. Don't miss it!! The service can't be compared. We got the BEST at ZEST!!
