Anyone can access Sun Sounds’ broadcast at sunsounds.org. Eligible listeners (those with print-disability) can receive a special radio at no charge.Three things about Sun Sounds of Arizona that people might not know.
- Sun Sounds partners with Clean Elections during Election season to provide voter information.
- Sun Sounds telephone system, “Sun Dial,” provides access to the radio broadcast and archived programs via a touch-tone telephone – and a way to surf text-to-speech websites like nytimes.com.
- Sun Sounds serves 49,000 Arizonans from broadcast studios in Flagstaff, Tempe and Tucson. It takes 500 volunteer readers to produce all the content for a 24-hour radio station!
