I love playing with fire! Even more, I love the idea of shaping a molten material which is neither liquid nor solid into something which captures the essence of the idea I am trying to convey. My work tends to look and feel organic; each bead is designed as a tribute to the natural world we live in.
Much of my work is ocean-themed, as I lived over 20 years in Florida. Other pieces are whimsical to bring a smile to your heart. Though I design some jewelry, my focus is aimed at manipulating the glass and playing with the different reactions the colors have in the flame. Watching the fire serves to calm and center me, often giving way to new and inspiring ideas. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
Advice
- Each glass lampwork bead used in my jewelry has been designed and made by me using a process called lampworking, melting glass over an open flame.
- Each piece is an original, and cannot be duplicated exactly.
- I am the only person involved in the manufacture of each piece of jewelry.
