From the article: Arizona Baby Names 2011
Every year the Social Security Administration comes out with a listing of those names that are the most popular for newborns. What name was given to your child or grandchild? Is it one the most popular? A family name? Why did you choose it? If you live in Arizona, tell us! What's Your Favorite?

Anyone remember Johnny Cash singing

... A boy named Sue! Things went terribly bad for him :-)

Watch Those Uncommon Spellings

While I understand some parents wanting to give their children unusual names, it is not a good idea to give them a name that no one can spell correctly without help. If you intend to call your child Maria but to be "different" you decide to spell it Mahreeyah, keep in mind that for the rest of her life, everyone from relatives to teachers to friends to employers will be struggling to spell that correctly. Please don't lay that burden on your child. Save the original spellings for middle names!

Uncommon Names or Alternate Spellings

It is interesting to see what names keep popping up on the census lists. If I were pregnant I would be considering unusual names (but not too far out there) or a different spelling for a common name to give it distinction. Family names are nice for middle names to honor special loved ones.

Not a fan of most popular names...

So I picked names not on the list but not too out there, like Isaac and Lila.
