Fountain Hills
- Fountain Hills is Scottsdale's eastern neighbor. It's home to one of the tallest fountains in the world. Its population is about 16,000 in the summer and 24,000 in the winter. Within its border are three championship quality public golf courses. The town has an extensive collection of public art and a high quality museum and Maricopa County library. The school district ranks among the highest in the state. The town is limited in size by McDowell Mountain Park on the north and the Fort McDowell Yavapai reservation to the west and south. The town is largely residential except for a small industrial park and shopping areas. Most homes have expansive views of surrounding mountains. Many residents are retirees and consider the town to be a safe, quiet place to live. There are many special interest organizations that welcome new members and take advantage of the town's community and senior centers.
